Some Wisdom on Committment-or Why I Drink Coffee

"The irony of commitment is that it's deeply liberating – in work, in play, in love. The act frees you from the tyranny of your internal critic, from the fear that likes to dress itself up and parade around like rational hesitation. To commit is to remove your head as the barrier to your life. " -- Anne Morris, a New York Starbucks customer

Coffee makes you smart! It makes you ponder the deep things of life! Who needs wine to inspire philosophical feelings? Don't you love the truth of this quote?
Sunday, we had the Placzek family over for dinner. The Placzeks are deeply talented artists who work day jobs until the art pays! Melissa created the illustrations for my "someday" cookbook. Jeff created Northwoods Kitchen. As we sat around the kitchen table, I was reinspired to commit to working on my cookbook. I am going to test and reformat 3 recipes a week. I am also going to spend 30 minutes a week getting queries ready for publishers to review.
My mothering commitment is calling.....the kids need breakfast!
